The Orbit Seed™ serves as a stylish and minimalist ornament in your interior, where you can keep it for as long as you wish. Thanks to its compact size, the Seed is ideal for distributing small amounts of a loved one's ashes among a larger group of relatives, so everyone has a tangible keepsake nearby. Additionally, the Seed offers space for other personal mementos, such as a lock of hair or first teeth. When the moment feels right for you, the urn can be returned to the earth. In a natural environment, the PHA is completely broken down by microorganisms into natural substances. This makes saying goodbye a natural process, leaving no traces of microplastics in the soil or water.

To ensure the memorial object perfectly matches your personal wishes or interior, the Orbit Seed is available in 10 stylish colours.

In this compact size, a biodegradable mini urn is still scarce on the Dutch market. The Orbit Seed is one of the few mini urns that, in addition to a small, stylish format, also offers independently tested and certified biodegradability.

Use & application

• Looks beautiful as a minimalist ornament in the home.
• Remains stable during dry, above-ground storage.
• Suitable for burial in a garden or at a (natural) cemetery.
• Do not lift the urn by the lid.
• Caution for indoor use: do not place the urn near a direct heat source or in direct sunlight behind glass on hot summer days, to maintain the optimal shape of the biological material (dimensionally stable up to approx. 80°C).
• After filling, the lid can be tightened firmly until it fits snugly. The twist closure ensures that the lid stays firmly in place and cannot easily come loose.
• The twist closure can be opened and closed multiple times if necessary. Always hold the urn firmly and carefully loosen or tighten the lid. Do not use excessive force to prevent damage to the thread or the urn.

Certification & material

Our urns are made from PHA (polyhydroxyalkanoate), a biobased material with a focus on natural degradation. The material holds TÜV certifications OK Compost HOME and OK Biodegradable MARINE. The certifications OK Biodegradable SOIL and OK Biodegradable WATER are currently pending and are expected to be available in October 2026.
